We guarantee that there are no symptoms of disease or parasites at the time of sale and that our birds are completely healthy. This means that our birds are free of viral infections, pathogenic bacterial infections, fungal infections, and congenital defects.

All birds come with a 14 day limited health guarantee. If not we will replace the bird or give a full refund on the purchase price, if proven not to be healthy at the time of sale. If you’re avian veterinarian performs a health examination within the allotted time period (72 hours) and discovers a problem too costly to cure, or a problem that cannot be cured, we will replace the bird with one of the same kind or value. You must relinquish the bird back to us with a report from a licensed vet explaining the nature of the illness. This report must be on the vet’s official letter pad with vet rubber stamp seal. The bird will be replaced or a refund of the full purchase price will be made.

In the event that the bird dies within 30 days of purchase, you must immediately refrigerate (not freeze) the bird’s body in a sealed plastic bag and deliver the death bird within 72 hours to a qualified avian vet for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. If a viral disease or congenital hatch defect is determined to be the cause of death, the bird will be replaced or a refund of the full purchase price will be made. This letter must also be on the vet’s official letter pad with vet rubber stamp seal.

It is understood that Seller will be responsible for any veterinarian medical bills, including charges for an autopsy, or refund of any shipping charges if the bird was originally shipped to you. Buyer also understands that if the purchase invoices is lost, the Health Guarantee is null and void. The veterinarian must reference the invoice number in his report.

The health of the bird is guaranteed for 14 days through examination by an AVIAN CERTIFIED veterinarian at the discretion and expense of the buyer. If the bird is found to be of unsatisfactory health and a written documentation from a licensed, AVIAN CERTIFIED veterinarian is presented to authenticate the aforementioned, the buyer will immediately deliver the bird to the breeder and receive a full refund of the purchase price of the bird. This documentation must include invoice number and species. The breeder will be responsible for any expenses incurred by the buyer during this time or for costs to return the bird to the breeder.

In the unlikely event of death within twelve (30) days of the buyer taking possession, the bird must be wrapped in paper towels, placed in a plastic bag, and refrigerated, (not frozen), until an autopsy can be performed, by a qualified, licensed Avian Veterinarian within seventy-two hours after death. All reports must be sent to our veterinarian, and include invoice number and species. If the autopsy proves beyond doubt, that death occurred from problems originating prior to the sale a replacement baby will be offered from the next available clutch of the original species. The cost of the autopsy will be provided to the buyer. The breeder will not be responsible for any other expenses and takes no responsibility for problems occurring in other birds, the bird must be quarantined and it is the buyer’s responsibility to do so.

Guarantee is void if all the following requirements are not followed:

•           The bird must be quarantined away from all other birds and an examination by an Avian Certified Veterinarian must be done within 24 hours after possession.

•           If you currently have other birds or have had birds in the same environment within the past year, you must provide documentation of their health and past medical history. The reasoning for this is that many viruses can stay in the environment for many months after an infected bird is removed.
